THE FINEST COWS
PRODUCING THE FINEST MILK
MAKE THE FINEST CHEESE

In the heart of America’s Dairyland, the green rolling hills surrounding the Hoard’s Dairyman Farm create a near perfect backdrop for a special herd of Guernsey cows.

Forged from a vision and built on the passion of pioneering publisher and former Governor of Wisconsin W.D. Hoard, Hoard's Dairy was established in 1899 and went on to change dairy farming across the land forever.

Today, descendants of Hoard’s original Guernsey cows continue to call the Hoard’s Dairyman Farm their home, and they continue to produce the extraordinary milk that makes our very special cheese.

Hoard’s Dairyman Farm Creamery’s Gouda cheese received a Bronze award at the prestigious World Cheese Awards, held in Trondheim, Norway on October 27, 2023.

In 2022, blue ribbons were earned by the mild cheddar in the cheddar division and St. Saviour in the semi-soft category at the Green County Fair cheese contest, the largest county fair cheese contest in Wisconsin.

Our Governor’s Select Cheddar won the American Cheese Society’s 2022 Judging and Competition contest held in Portland, Ore. This fine cheddar is made exclusively from Guernsey milk from the bovines at the Hoard's Dairyman Farm in Fort Atkinson, Wisc.
